I discovered him while studying abroad in Paris in 2016. My roommate had stumbled upon two of his books: The Difficulty of Being and the Opium Diaries and lent them both to me. Immediately, I fell in love. Not just with his drawings, but with way of thinking and being.

Cocteau has an immediately recognizable style of line drawing that often evokes a fantastical world.
